Cannot ping the IP address assigned on Mushroom device

Please check if the there are any firewall rules (Firewall tab) that may block this traffic. 

Please  enable maintenance mode (under Admin tab) on the device and see if the ping works. If this works then do let us know in an email, so we can review the revision and any default policy that went in that version. Typically ping should work without enabling the maintenance mode,etc.
