How can I use release candidate firmware
Release candidates are firmware that will be released soon (usually in a few weeks time) and are undergoing final testing. If you want to upgrade your device to a release candidate here are the steps:
– Log in to the device’s user interface, manually enter the URL “http://<DEVICE-ADDRESS>/cgi-bin/setexperimental”, click ‘Enable’ and submit.
– Under the ‘Status’ tab, select “Firmware Upgrade”. The release candidates have a “rc” suffix and are shown as experimental.
– After upgrading, optionally disable the experimental mode using the previous URL to hide experimental features not planned for this release.
